Week 1 reflection for mixcraft work- In week 1 me and Messiah quite a bit of progress on the mixcraft work even though it was a little bit confusing we were able to properly get on the ground bass, part 1, 2 and 3 which I think sounded very good at the end of what we did and there might have been a few mistakes in part 3 but it still sounded good and then we started working on doing our part 4! I played ground bass part 1 and 2 and Messiah played part 3!

Week 2 reflection for mixcraft work- In week 2 me and Messiah made lesser progress than we made in week 1 on mixcraft since it was very hard to play part 4 and 5 in the right metronome and get it in the proper beat so it matches up with all the rest of the pieces and the ground bass. It took us a very long time because we kept making a silly mistake or getting the beat wrong because we played it too slow and we had to keep deleting it over and over again. Even though we had these problems we still were able to play part 4 and 5 but had a few minor mistakes which can be fixed for improvement!

Week 3 reflection for mixcraft work- In week 3 me and Messiah made the same amount of progress we made in week 2 on mixcraft because of part 6 which was the hardest piece to play out of all the parts that were there in the coolio piece. Messiah was playing part 6 and he would keep playing it for too long because the beats were too long and then it just ruined the entire part so we had to keep deleting it and doing it again. Even I tried to do that part but it didn't work out much so I think part 6 was one of the biggest mistakes we made in the entire coolio piece. Part 7 was still good and I was able to play it without any trouble since it didn't have much notes and I think I traveled in the right direction!
(Videos will be up by Sunday afternoon)!

  1. Good reflections and accurate comments on where the issues were. You have said that you kept doing things over again, but what did you change when things weren't going right. How did you adapt your learning strategy so you could improve quicker. Did you think about slowing down the tempo so you had better thinking/reaction time for the notes? Did you think about recording it in smaller sections so you didn't have try to remember quite so much without mistakes all in one go?
You are keeping a good blog here Mehul. Try to keep on a weekly basis rather than in chunks if possible though.
